Swimming pools can be open, closed or a combination of both types, depending on the purpose and activity. Most pools are not single-pass, ie they use some way of recirculating water through the system, so it needs to be conditioned. Pool water conditioning usually involves a combination of mechanical and chemical treatment. Mechanical methods of purification through filtration, chemical water treatment and fresh water replenishment keep the pool system and the water in it hygienically correct and suitable for use.<\/p>\n

Maintaining a high degree of purity of pool water (microbiological purity) largely depends on proper mechanical and chemical treatment eg chemicals must be added regularly to oxidize pool contaminants, kill and control bacteria and other disease-carrying organisms that swimmers bring into the water (land , body secretions, creams, etc.).It is also necessary to destroy algae whose spores are brought by wind and rain. The pH of the water in the pool must be maintained within the desired range for the comfort of the swimmer and the optimal effectiveness of the disinfectant. Filtration of water in the pool is necessary to remove suspended solids that otherwise cloud the water and interfere with the disinfection process.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″]
